STEP 2: WHO CAN REGISTER/BE NOMINATED TO TRIAL

Trials are open to all MK registered Year 7 and Year 8 players, who wish to be considered to represent Motu Kairangi Netball Satellite in Central Zone competitions this year.

IMPORTANT

Trials are open to all skilled Year 7 and Year 8 Intermediate level netball players who are:

• registered and playing for their school in the MK Netball Term 2 & Term 3 Saturday netball competition; and
• players selected for representative teams MUST be available to play at ALL the tournaments noted below.

TRIALS

• Sunday trials will be held at Evans Bay Intermediate School (EBIS) Netball Courts, Tacy Street, Kilbirnie.
• Tuesday trials will be held at the Hataitai Netball Courts, 43 Ruahine Street, Hataitai, Wellington.

Tournament Dates 2017

Players selected for Representative Teams must be available to play at all the following tournaments:-

YEAR 7 TRIALS 2017

YEAR 8 REP TRIALS 2017

ALL PARENTS are requested to attend a brief induction (on the first day of trials) outlining expectations of Year 7 and Year 8 rep level players.

REP TEAM TRAINING (held rain or shine)

Year 7 and Year 8 training sessions are traditionally held on Sunday morning and Wednesday after school (but may change to suit the Coaches availability).

Players selected for representative teams MUST be available to play at the following tournaments:

 

STEP 3: REGISTER/NOMINATE A PLAYER

All trialists wanting to be considered for selection must be a member of a Member School within the Motu Kairangi Netball boundaries and must be Year 7 or Year 8 at the beginning of the 2016 school year.

Players must be registered to play in an A or B grade team. Players registered in lower grades can be nominated to trial by their school or school-appointed coach.

Once nominated players are registered, trialists will be given an identifying number which must be clearly displayed on both the player's arm and legs during competition play throughout the trial process.

 

STEP 3: MANDATORY COMMITMENTS

All players registering to become a Representative Player for Motu Kairangi Netball are required to be available for ALL trials, trainings and tournaments as specified on the last page of the Motu Kairangi Handbook.
